We had a visitor from Cal Arts.
Douglas showed us his latest additions to the visualizer - menus to choose which features are used for X, Y, color; selection of feature ranges from a typed-in range.
To Do:
- better beat tracker into Java
- rubber-box selection
- link selection range to one/both axes
Points of discussion:
- Is visualizer a separate window, or a pane within the main application?
- i.e. the "main window" as the options settings for the visualizer
- "play selected" in visualizer completely supplants existing composer tool
- feature calculation done as needed when feature options (and composer) change
- How about 3D features for even more intuitive visualization
- it's too much for normal people
